We are pleased to announce that the 2015 Annual RCSI Research Day will take place on Thursday 12th March.
Research Day is a forum for the presentation of investigators’ most recent work, reflecting the current state of research in RCSI. We encourage all students to actively participate in this important day. This is a great opportunity for presentations by Undergraduate Scholars, and prizes will be awarded across a number of categories for best oral and poster presentations. In addition, acknowledging the centrality our educational research programmes, the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences will award a poster prize for the best abstract and project in the broad category of Health Professions Education.
The speaker for the Annual John J Ryan Distinguished Guest Lecture will be confirmed shortly.
Please submit abstracts by email using the abstract submission template which is attached and also available for downloading from the Staff Portal at: http://staff.rcsi.ie/research/rd2015
Pay close attention to the submission guidelines listed in the template, and include the supervisor original signature or cc the supervisor on the submission email.
Abstracts will be evaluated and those with the highest scores will be assigned to the appropriate competition session. The deadline for submission of abstracts by e-mail attachment only to (Resday2015@rcsi.ie) is 5pm Friday 19th December, 2014.
Intellectual Property Issues: Please note that the responsibility for protecting commercially valuable information lies with the submitting researcher and their academic supervisor. Submission of an abstract should be made only after due care and caution has been exercised with respect to the protection of potentially valuable intellectual property and consistency with existing funding agreements. If there are any doubts as to what should be omitted/included in abstracts please contact innovation @rcsi.ie
We would be grateful if you could bring this notice to the attention of any relevant personnel in your Department.
Everyone is welcome. We hope that you will be able to join us for a day of great research!
